About the Artists…
The ultimate goal for the county-wide Los Angeles Citywide Children’s Christian Choir (LA4C) is to spread the gospel throughout the world. LA4C currently has approximately 75 members. The choir is in its 19th season and is in demand throughout the Southern California area. The choir has performed on various T.V. shows (Home and Family Show, KCET’s Storytime Show, The Carol Lawrence Show), recorded a CD for Walt Disney Productions, appeared on various radio programs, and performed in venues such as The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Los Angeles Music Center, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, The Republican Convention’s Prayer Breakfast, etc. LA4C completed its first CD recording which is available at performances and on the choir’s web page (www.la4c.com). LA4C also sang in Washington, DC, representing California in our nation’s “225th Anniversary of our Independence Concert.” They have traveled extensively in Europe, including England, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Belgium and The Netherlands. In the summer of 2013, the choir is headed back to Italy and will also be singing in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Ms. Peggy Richmond is a published music writer, having written the music for the Luis Palao Crusades’ Children’s Program, as well as music for LA4C and the children’s choirs at her church, Glendale Presbyterian Church, where she is currently on staff.
In addition to Ms. Richmond’s responsibilities as Founder and Director of the Los Angeles Citywide Children’s Christian Choir, she also teaches piano and voice, is Director of Children’s Music and Worship at Glendale Presbyterian Church, and teaches music at local elementary schools in Glendale.
