About the artists…

Lakeville North High School Chorale

The Lakeville North High School Chorale is one of five curricular choral ensembles
in the Lakeville North High School vocal music program. It consists of auditioned juniors and seniors, who also are required to take private lessons as part of the Chorale class.

The Chorale is known for its tradition of performing high quality choral music with skill and musicality. Performances include a wide variety of repertoire; from light pops to the great masterworks to the vast array of multicultural choral works. These singers perform a Fall concert, Winter concert, Talent show, Masterworks concert, Cabaret concert, and Pops concert during the school year. They participate in festivals and contests around the state of Minnesota, and have received consistently high marks from clinicians and adjudicators. The LNHS Chorale recently commissioned the Benedictus, from “Celtic Mass,” by the American composer Ben Allaway.

Singers from the Chorale have received many individual honors including All-State Chorus, Best of Site awards at regional solo and ensemble contests, and selection to Minnesota ACDA Honor Choirs.

The Chorale has performed in Washington, DC, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, and for many honor choir festivals in the Midwest. They are looking forward to enjoying the rich cultural heritage of Italy.
